Yoga/Soma Yoga

Cindy has been teaching Yoga since 2008 and has had over 500 hours of training, including Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Trauma-informed Yoga, Soma Yoga and Yoga Tune - up Balls (R).

Weekly Yoga classes are currently being offered via Zoom (Fall, Winter, Spring Sessions).  Please inquire if you are interested in joining.

 

*In person Restorative Yoga workshops and Tune up Ball/Myofascial Release workshops are offered occasionally.  Please inquire if you are interested in hosting or attending a workshop.

Soma Yoga

Soma Yoga is beneficial for ALL people but especially for those who feel they stretch and stretch with no noticeable gains; have experienced chronic pain for six months or greater (with no known underlying cause); have chronic stress and or repetitive physical patterns.   

This style of Yoga works with reeducation of the muscles in order to change long-held patterns which may be causing you pain or holding you back from optimal mobility.  It is also greatly relaxing and nourishing for the Nervous System.

 

Semi-private sessions/Private sessions are currently offered via Zoom.  Please inquire if you are interested in in-person sessions.

I have been in Cindy’s Soma Yoga class over the past year and have stayed with it every week since I began. Cindy’s explanations are excellent; she models every pose she asks students to do so that working on each pose, even when one is new to the practice, is easy to follow. She gently corrects when necessary and there is much laughter in her class. I have found that with the gradual lengthening of my back and neck muscles I no longer ache as I did before, and my stomach muscles are noticeably stronger.
While I have done many years of classes in Hatha Yoga with Cindy and always enjoyed
that practice, Soma Yoga is a slower practice offering poses that are subtle but very powerful for strengthening and lengthening muscles. I am certainly stronger and I also find that I am more centered because of the work I continue to do with Cindy.
